Fitness Assessment
This is when we check out your body, ask you questions about your diet, medical history, muscular problems, sleep patterns and lifestyle.

From your answers we evaluate your fitness levels and work out a programme specifically for you to bring you to your optimum state of fitness.
Blood Pressure: Blood pressure is taken, as part of a screening process, to determine your current health status and risk of cardiovascular disease.
BMI (Body Mass Index): This is used to assess your weight relative to your height.
Body Composition: This is used as an indicator of your current state of health and fitness, and is more accurate than BMI.
Aerobic Capacity: Your ability to utilise oxygen is referred to as your maximum oxygen uptake (VO2 Max) and is defined as the maximum volume of oxygen that can be delivered to the muscles and utilised to perform work.
Flexibility: The ability to move a joint through its full range of motion.
Muscular Strength Endurance: This is necessary to maintain and improve posture, and prevent or reduce low-back pain.
Lung Function: The ability of your lungs to take air into the body and transfer it to your blood stream.

Weight Loss
This is when we take a look at your diet and lifestyle in conjunction with a full-body fitness testing process..

From your answers we put together an individualised program designed around your goals. We also do some metabolic calculations geared to a weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds a week (6 to 8 pounds a month) which is a healthy optimum for losing weight and helps to keep it off for life.

Conditioning, Body Shaping & Bodybuilding
This is when we check out and measure your physical characteristics.

We take circumference measurements at different parts of your body, and skinfold measurements for body composition and fat percentages. From this information we put together a individualised program targeted at your goals, where these could be muscle conditioning, body shaping, or body building. Whether you want a leaner or toned body, or bigger muscles, we will devise a program to guarantee these results.

Core Stability
This is Lumbar or lower-back training and includes:
Sports Conditioning Aerobic and Anaerobic training.
Stabilisation Balance and Agility training.
Entire Body Strength Stability and Flexibility training.
Bouso Stability, Swiss Ball and Stability Disc training.

Core Stability Training is becoming increasingly popular, and involves coordinated training of all of the trunk muscles. The importance of this form of training lies in the fact that abdominal and back muscles are made to work together, not only to prevent low-back pain but also to reinforce all skilled movement.

Boxercise
This is a great workout which gives great results, and is lots of fun.

Boxercise works every part of your body, enhancing cardiovascular function, stamina, muscular strength, endurance and coordination. It can be mixed in with Boxercise Circuits, Coordination Pad, Work Strength and Muscular Endurance drills to condition your whole body and get fantastic results with fun.

Circuit Training
This is another whole-body workout programme, which works both your upper and lower body.

It's great for Cardiovascular Function, Muscular Endurance and Strength, and a great fat burner. Circuit Training will get you back into shape and can also be a lot of fun.

BASE Training
BASE is an acronym for Balance, Agility, Speed and Efficiency.

This is a programme of activities designed for children of all ages,and has also become popular with athletes over a wide range of sports. There are five stages, or bases which improve movement skills in children of all ages and abilities, and ideally should be started at a young age.

SAQ Training
SAQ is an acronym for Speed, Agility and Quickness.
|
This is a programme of activities designed primarily for athletes, but also applicable to recreational fitness. The system is designed to improve balance, multi-directional 'explosive' speed, flexibility, power, hand-eye coordination, movement patterns, mental focus and agility, all highly desirable attributes for athletes.
